FundRiser FAQ

Common questions from families, schools, and merchants

FundRiser is built to help local schools raise more money while helping families save at local businesses. This page explains how the platform works in plain language.

Is this a recurring subscription?

No. FundRiser school cards are not auto-recurring subscriptions. Families buy a card for the current fundraising year, and can repurchase next year if they want to continue supporting their school.

How does a family use an offer?

Families sign in, open available offers, and tap Use Now. That generates a short-lived QR code for the selected offer. The merchant scans it to redeem. This helps prevent misuse of static screenshots.

What is the difference between one-time and repeatable offers?

One-time offers can be redeemed once per membership card. Repeatable offers can be used multiple times. If a one-time offer has already been used, the customer view shows that status and the redemption date.

What happens if a merchant scans an invalid or expired code?

The merchant portal immediately returns a clear error message, such as invalid token, expired token, wrong merchant, already used token, or inactive card.

Can schools track class and student performance?

Yes. Organization tools support classes, students, and teacher assignments. Purchases can be associated to class and student records, so school teams can measure fundraising results more precisely.

Can admins troubleshoot other user experiences?

Yes. Admin users can use View As tools to enter customer, merchant, or organization context, which makes support and QA much faster.

Is FundRiser only for schools?

FundRiser is positioned as a school-first platform, but the underlying model can support similar community structures with members, teams/divisions, and coordinators.
